About

I am a commercial pilot, a flight instructor and an aerobatic pilot.

I started flying in 2005 and obtained my PPL(A) in 2006. My first exposure to aerobatics was at the Salthill Air Show in Galway, Ireland in July 2005. It was love at first sight! From then on, I knew I wanted to fly aerobatics. While building my flying hours and studying for my ATPL exams, I tried to assimilate as much aerobatics experience as possible – competing at Sports level in the UK, flying lots of different aerobatic aircraft and working my way up the competition levels. Now I compete at Advanced level and will be representing Ireland in future European and World Championships.

In 2016, I obtained my Flight Instructor Certificate. In 2021, I gained privileges to teach aerobatics and advanced upset prevention and recovery. I now instruct aerobatics and UPRT at the British Aerobatic Academy at Fowlmere airfield which offers both EASA and UK CAA approved courses, as well as ab initio and ad hoc training at Waterford Aero Club in Ireland.

In 2016, I won a pilot cadetship with Aer Lingus. This allowed me to complete the CPL and MEIR at FTE Jerez in Spain, then the Airbus Type Rating with Aer Lingus.
